Our hearts shattered when we watched this and we were told he has been on the streets since he was hit by a truck months ago! Although we are stretched thin, we have committed to his care. 

We have named him POLO. Polo was taken to a clinic as soon as he was rescued from the street. He has no deep pain sensation and cannot move his lower body. Polo has been dragging himself around since he was injured and now has large, raw sores present on his lower limbs. He is positive for erhlichia, a tick disease, and is also anemic. Anemia is the typical result of the tick condition. He is severely underweight, full of fleas and intestinal parasites. Polo needs antibiotics for the erhlichia disease plus mediation for the wounds. He will also need vaccines once he is able to receive, plus he is in dire need of a wheelchair so he can freely move around without causing harm to his body.
