Not 1, but 2 mothers with their infant litters were abandoned in boxes hours apart on the mountain in Peru where Edith cares for the innocent strays.

On one of the boxes was this sad plea-

HELP US. WE HAVE NO HOME. SAVE US MISS EDITH.

Both females had 4 puppies each.

This added responsibility is a great strain on Edith. The refuge on the hill is overflowing with unwanted strays and financial resources are scarce. These dogs did not ask for this. The babies did not ask to be hungry and unwanted. Edith did not ask for this heartache.
